Goncalo Alves (stabilized)

Goncalo Alves... Oh what a beautiful wood!

Also known as "Tigerwood" or "Brazillian Tigerwood" can be found from Mexico to Brazil.

Goncalo Alves Janka rating is 2,170 lbf (9,640 N) Heartwood is typically a medium reddish brown with irregularly spaced streaks of dark brown to black. Color tends to darken with age.  Goncalo Alves has excellent weathering properties, and is rated as very durable regarding decay resistance.  I take it one step further when I have the pieces stabilized to ensure a long lasting look and character.

These photos and video are examples of what I have and not the exact piece you are getting.  Remember, with woods, when cut and shaped, it changes the grains and colors.  NOTE: There is only one of each and it is a first-come-first-serve basis. I do my best to track inventory but if an item is sold out I will notify you and we can find a replacement or I can refund your purchase.
