Ahhh... Knife Class!  This is what I really enjoy about making knives.  It's being there as one learns to create something other than a knife.  It's why my company slogan was "Making Knives, Friends and Memories." 
 
Knife classes are a bit more indepth though and do take some time.  Depending on the knife and skills one has or wants, a Knife Class can take up to 40 hrs.  This is broken down into 4-5 days of shop work.  The heat treat day is boring and there's not much for a student to do so on that day, I will run the heat treat as the student takes the time to travel, sightsee or just hang out.
 
The cost of a knife Class is added to whatever knife you choose to make.  All your meals and lodging are up to you as is transportation.  This keeps my class prices down and puts more price shopping in your hands.  It also keeps things simple for me and those that are local that do not need any of the aformentioned accomidations.
